Schedule: Fulltime Days, Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm

Primary Purpose

Supervises and provides leadership to staff in either inpatient or outpatient clinical specialty treatment areas.

MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONS

Education:
Must have one of the following:

Bachelor's degree in physical therapy from a school accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association.
Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy from an accredited university.
Master's degree in Speech - Language Pathology from an accredited university; with completion of a nine-month clinical fellowship.

Experience:

Must have five years' experience as a therapist to include one year in a lead or supervisory capacity.

Certification/Registration/Licensure:

Must have current licensure as a Physical Therapist with the Board of Physical Therapy Examiners for Texas OR
Must be registered as an Occupational Therapist by the State of Texas OR
Must be licensed by the Texas State Board of Examiners for Speech - Language Pathology and Audiology and have completed all requirements for a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) issued by the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA).
Must have a current Healthcare Provider CPR course completion card prior to hire and/or placement in job from one of the following:
American Heart Association
American Red Cross Rescuer
Military Training Network.

Skills or Special Abilities:

Must be able to demonstrate advanced knowledge of therapy procedures and techniques.
Must demonstrate effective supervisory and administrative skills.
Must be able to demonstrate oral and written communication skills.
Must be able to demonstrate problem solving ability. Must be able to demonstrate patient centered/patient valued care.
