{"tool":"get_job","result":{"requisitionId":"989157","client":"Parkland","title":"Radiology Aide","description":"Location: Main Hospital Bldg - 2nd Floor<br><br>Primary Purpose<br><br>Responsible for providing assistance to the imaging professionals in the Radiology Department by performing patient related and general clerical duties to ensure effective departmental operations.<br><br>MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONS<br><br>Education<br><ul><li>No minimum education required</li></ul><br>Experience<br><ul><li>Must have at least nine (9) months experience in a patient, child, or health care setting/environment, customer service experience.</li></ul><br>Equivalent Education and/or Experience<br><ul><li>Current enrollment in a Healthcare Program may substitute for the experience requirement.</li></ul><br>Certification/Registration/Licensure<br><ul><li>Must have a current Healthcare Provider (BLS Level) CPR course completion card prior to hire and/or placement in job from one of the following:</li><li>American Heart Association</li><li>American Red Cross Rescuer</li><li>Military Training Network</li></ul><br>Skills or Special Abilities<br><ul><li>Must be able to speak, read and write.</li><li>Must be able to demonstrate a basic knowledge of patient care and processes in a Radiology setting.</li><li>Must complete a Body Mechanics Class for preventative back injury and proper lifting techniques upon initial orientation.</li><li>Must be able to demonstrate working knowledge of a computer.</li><li>Must be able to demonstrate effective interpersonal skills and possess good oral and written communication skills.</li><li>Must be able to demonstrate patient centered/patient valued behaviors by communicating effectively with patients, families, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel.</li></ul><br>Responsibilities<br><ul><li>Completes clerical and technical support duties to assist imaging professionals with imaging procedures and associated ancillary tasks, including room, equipment and supply preparation for efficient throughput.</li></ul><br><ul><li>Accesses and handles selected medications and contrast as instructed, which may include picking up supplies from the pharmacy, central processing, and other departments as needed.</li></ul><br><ul><li>Logs in patients, answers departmental telephones, completes or assists with patient documents and/or screening forms and archives permanent information in the Hospital Information System, ensuring accurate data is available to the Radiology department.</li></ul><br><ul><li>Assists imaging professionals with communication tasks including monitoring waiting areas and chaperoning patients.</li></ul><br><ul><li>Identifies and transports patients within the Radiology department or elsewhere as needed. Assists with moving patients from transport equipment to imaging tables. Escorts ambulatory patients from waiting areas.</li></ul><br><ul><li>Folds and stores linen, ensuring adequate supply is available. Maintains inventory of needed supplies in assigned areas.
