{"tool":"get_job","result":{"requisitionId":"988420","client":"Parkland","title":"Neurodiagnostic Technologist-EEG /Epilepsy","description":"Location: Parkland: 16th FLR BLK 400<br><br><b>Schedule: Fulltime Nights</b><br><br><b>Primary Purpose</b><br>Performs routine and complex Neurodiagnostic procedures for patients as directed, providing physicians diagnostic tools with which to treat patients.<br><br><b>Minimum Specifications</b><br><br><b>Education</b><br><br><b>EEG:</b><br><ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent required.</li><li>Completion of an accredited EEG or other neurodiagnostic technician program is preferred.</li></ul><br><b>For NCV/EMG Technologist:</b><br><ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent required.</li><li>Completion of an accredited EEG or other neurodiagnostic technician program preferred.</li></ul><br><b>Experience</b><br><br><b>EEG:</b><br><ul><li>Prior experience in a neurodiagnostic setting including clinical rotations or internships is required.</li></ul><br><b>For NCV/EMG Technologist:</b><br><br><ul><li>Prior experience in a neurodiagnostic setting which includes clinical rotations or internships is preferred.</li><li>Six months experience preforming NCV studies.</li></ul><br><b>Equivalent Education and/or Experience</b><br><ul><li>May have an equivalent combination of education and experience to substitute for both the education and the experience requirements.</li></ul><br><b>Certification/Registration/Licensure</b><br><ul><li>Must have a current healthcare provider BLS for Healthcare Providers certification before date of hire and/or placement in job from one of the following:</li><li>American Heart Association</li><li>American Red Cross</li><li>Military Training Network</li><li>Current incumbents in the role as of 8/1/2023 must obtain a health care provider BLS for Healthcare Providers certification no later than 11/31/2023.</li></ul><br><b>Required Tests for Placement</b><br><br><b>Skills or Special Abilities</b><br><ul><li>Must be able to perform routine EEG procedures independently.</li><li>Must be able to distinguish EEG abnormalities and respond appropriately.</li><li>Must be able to learn advanced EEG procedures.</li><li>Must be able to work with personal computers including word processing, spreadsheets and databases.</li><li>Must have good communication skills necessary in handling difficult and severely ill patients.</li><li>Must be able to effectively handle stressful situations.</li><li>Must be able to demonstrate patient centered/patient valued behaviors.</li></ul><br><b>Responsibilities</b><br><ul><li>Responsible for the performance of routine Neurodiagnostic procedures for use by physicians as a diagnostic tool. May perform complex Neurodiagnostic procedures as skills advance.</li><li>Maintains electrodes, reviews and edits patient data to provide interpretable results. Completes all paperwork.</li><li>Maintains a positive working relationship with other employees, physicians, patients and family members.</li><li>Responsible for stocking supplies and preparing test areas.
