{"tool":"get_job","result":{"requisitionId":"983116","client":"Parkland","title":"Police Officer","description":"Location: Logistics: 1st FLR BLK 900<br><br>Multiple job opportunities available.<br><br>Compensation: $70,200- $104,977 per year   (based on experience).<br><br><b>Primary Purpose</b> <br><br>Patrols, investigates, monitors, and resolves emergencies, high-risk situations, and potential and existing breaches in security, while enforcing established policies to provide a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff.<br><br><b>MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONS</b> <br><br><b>Education:</b> <br><ul><li>High School Diploma or GED.</li><li>Prefer an associate degree in law enforcement, Business or other related fields from an accredited college or university.</li></ul><br><b>Experience:</b> <br><ul><li>None.</li></ul><br><b>Equivalent Experience:</b> <br><ul><li>None.</li></ul><br><b>Certification/Registration/Licensure:</b> <br><ul><li>Must be licensed as a Peace Officer with the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement TCLEOSE Tx Law Enforce Officer Std Edu .</li><li>Must meet and maintain eligibility standards for licensing as a Texas Peace Officer.</li><li>Must have a valid Driver License and obtain a Texas Driver License within 30 days of employment.</li></ul><br><b>Required Tests for Placement:</b>  <br><ul><li>Applicants as of May 23, 2018 must pass with a minimum overall score of 70% or above the Police Officer Selection Test (P.O.S.T.) prior to hire.</li><li>Applicants with three or more years of experience with less than a 180-day break in service are exempt from requirement to take and pass the Police Officer Selection Test (P.O.ST.) prior to hire.</li><li>Applicants with three or more years of experience with less than a 180-day break in service are exempt from requirement to successfully pass a physical agility assessment prior to hire.</li><li>Employees in this job who were hired on or before 03/29/14 are exempt from requirement to take/pass the typing test and physical agility assessment.</li></ul><br><b>Skills or Special Abilities:</b> <br><ul><li>Must be able to pass typing test with a minimum of 20 words per minute, with no more than three errors.</li><li>Must successfully pass a physical agility assessment.</li><li>Must pass a pre-employment polygraph and psychological evaluation.</li><li>May be subject to further written and/or oral pre-employment testing.</li><li>Must be able to follow, practice and utilize the Peace Officer Weapons Standard and Qualification General Order to ensure the safety of officers, hospital staff, patients and visitors.</li><li>Must have effective oral and written communication skills.</li><li>Must have the ability to deal with PHHS staff and the public in a tactful and diplomatic manner.</li><li>Must be able to make sound judgments.</li><li>Must be able to testify in court to present case facts.</li><li>Grandfathered Employee Statement: - Employees in this job who were hired on or before 03/29/14 are exempt from requirement to take/pass the typing test and physical agility assessment.</li></ul><br><br><b>Requisition ID:</b> 983116","department":"Public Safety","departmentId":"6964508fd5e3bc03aee3b7f4","employmentType":[{"value":"Full Time"}],"datePosted":"2026-03-04T00:00:00.000Z","applyUrl":"https://wd12.myworkdaysite.com/recruiting/parklandhospital/Parkland_Careers/job/Logistics-1st-FLR-BLK-900/Police-Officer_983116/apply/autofillWithResume","attributes":[""],"recruiterAssigned":[""],"address":[{"city":"Dallas","state":"TX","country":"USA","zipCode":75235,"address1":"","location":{"type":"Point","coordinates":["",""]}}],"city":"Dallas","state":"TX","zipCode":"75235","country":"USA","brandId":1037707,"createdAt":"2026-03-04T00:00:00.000Z","updatedAt":"2026-04-03T06:10:00.932Z"},"summary":"Job details for Police Officer"}
