The New Parkland Hospital

Thanks to the overwhelming 82 percent voter approval in November 2008, the new hospital is scheduled to be completed in 2014 and is the largest hospital construction project in America. The facility will encompass 2.5 million square feet with 862 beds, adding desperately needed space particularly in critical areas such as the emergency room, operating room and the burn and neonatal intensive care units.
